Fumiyo Kawaguchi Tax, Partner
Fumiyo joined Mazars in January 2019 and has more than 15 years of experience in international tax covering cross-border due diligence, foreign investment, and global mobility services.
Fumiyo started her career in the finance department of a listed multinational manufacturer. She then moved to Canada and joined a local accounting firm. After returning to Japan, she joined the finance team of an American multinational company and engaged in a project to launch a shared service center in Japan, as well as working for some independent accounting firms.
Before joining Mazars, Fumiyo worked for an independent accounting firm, where she verified cash flow models used in project finance from accounting and tax perspectives. She also prepared accounting and tax opinion letters on structured finance, provided advisory services on cross-border transactions and to individuals having foreign income and domestic income (business income, rental income, investment income, income from stock based compensation etc), prepared relevant tax returns and supported tax audits.
